LPFFA Press Release
March 22, 2018, London, Ontario – The London Professional Fire Fighters Association held their regular monthly meeting this past Tuesday evening. Direction was given to the LPFFA Executive Board to bring an important vote to the attention of City Administration. As a matter of obligation to protect our organization, we cannot comment on confidential business conducted at our Association meetings. We have acted promptly, and at the conclusion of a meeting with City Administration this morning, the matter is now in the hands of Martin Hayward to deal with as the employer with an employee of the Corporation.
Further, City Administration has proposed questions to the London Professional Fire Fighters Association. As President, I have committed to bring these questions back to my membership and return answers to Mr. Hayward as soon as possible.
At this time, I have been given assurances that Mr. Hayward will act appropriately, and in a timely manner. It was clear that he recognizes the importance of the issue, and paid close attention to the message delivered to him on behalf of the London Professional Fire Fighters Association.
